Hello all!
First, thank you to all of our first cousins and spouses for all of the years of successful Martini family reunions. A special thanks to those who have helped with researching, maintaining our family tree, family crest, books, newsletters, updates, and other information.
We're hoping for a large turnout this year. For this reason, our family has decided to have the reunion on a Saturday and earlier in August so that more families have a chance to attend and making travel from out-of-town easier.
I cannot tell you who came up with the idea or when the first Martini Reunion started, but I do remember getting together on a farm in Indiana in the late '50s or early '60s. Nine brothers and one sister, along with their families, would gather once a year to enjoy each other's company, sharing stories and playing games like horseshoes, badminton, and other activities throughout the day.
We really want to see this tradition that our parents/grandparents/great grandparents started way back then continue throughout the years. Please make a copy or forward this email to share with your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and ask them to attend the Annual Martini Reunion on Saturday, August 8 at Fernbank Park. (Kuliga Park will be closed for remodeling this year.)
